Indications
Menthol 1% + Pramoxine Hydrochloride 1% Topical is used for:
Burns, Eczema, Contact dermatitis, Hemorrhoids, Insect bites, Skin irritations, Itching and pain, Anal pruritus
Adult Dose
Pain and Itching
For temporary relief of pain and itch associated with minor skin irritations, minor cuts, minor burns, minor sunburns, scrapes, or insect bites; may also be used for rashes due to poison ivy, oak, or sumac
Apply topically to affected area up to 3-4 times daily
Child Dose
Pain and Itching

<2 years: Safety and efficacy not established

Hypersensitivity, Deep or puncture wounds, animals bites, serious burns, large areas of the body
Precautions
For external use onlyAvoid contact with eyes
Do not use in the eyes or mucous membranes
Not for prolonged use
Do not apply to large areas of the body
Discontinue if symptoms persist for >7 days or clear up and occur again within a few days
Discontinue if redness, irritation, swelling, or pain persists or increases

Mode of Action
Menthol is used mainly for the symptomatic relief of sinusitis, bronchitis and similar conditions. It may be used as an inhalation, ointment or pastilles. Menthol and pramoxine: Each of these agents elicits local anesthetic effects.
