Indications
Bacitracin + Lidocaine topical is used for:
Indicated to prevent infection and temporarily relieve pain, minor cuts, scrapes, burns
Adult Dose
Topical
Ointment
Minor Cuts, Scrapes & Burns
Indicated to prevent infection and temporarily relieve pain in minor cuts, scrapes, and burns
After cleaning affected area, apply small amount topically 1-3 times/day; cover with sterile bandage
Child Dose
Minor Cuts, Scrapes & Burns
Indicated to prevent infection and temporarily relieve pain in minor cuts, scrapes, and burns
<2 years: Safety and efficacy not established
>2 years: After cleaning affected area, apply small amount topically 1-3 times/day; cover with sterile bandage

Contra Indications
Hypersensitivity to bacitracin, lidocaine, or other anesthetic amides (eg, bupivacaine)
Precautions
For external use only
Avoid contact with eyes
Do not use over large areas of body
Not for deep puncture wound, animal bites, or serious burns
Discontinue if swelling, rash, or fever develops
Discontinue if irritation, pain, or redness persist or worsens, or if symptoms do not improve in 7 days
Do not use for >7 days unless directed by physician
Pregnancy-Lactation
Pregnancy Category: C

Bacitracin: Inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, by preventing the incorporation of amino acids and nucleotides into the cell wall
