Indications
Wedica 100 Tablet is used for:
Indicated for, type 2 diabetes, when the first line treatment of metformin is not achieving the expected glycemic goals.

One 100mg tablet once weekly

Renal Failure
Moderate Creatinine Clearance 30-<50: 50 mg once weekly.
Administration
Should be taken once weekly and same day every week.
Contra Indications
Hypersensitivity
Precautions
Patients with moderate kidney function disease.
Hypoadrenalism or Hypopituitarism
Malnutrition, irregular eating patterns, starvation
Vigorous exercise
This drug may cause hypoglycemia when used with other diabetes medication

Side Effects
Side effects of Trelagliptin :
Hypoglycemia, nasopharyngitis, elevated lipase.
Acute pancreatitis, intestinal obstruction, atrial fibrillation, elevated liver enzyme
Mode of Action
It works by inhibiting the activity of dipeptidyl peptidase 4 Trelagliptin inactivates glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) from secretion from the intestines to the blood via stimulation from oral intake of food, increases GLP-1 blood concentration and promotes blood glucose concentration-dependent insulin secretion from the pancreas.
