Indications
Opsovit Injection is used for:
Vitamin B deficiency, Glossitis, stomatitis, cheilosis, beriberi, polyneuritis, Nutritional supplement
Adult Dose
Parenteral
Injection : 2 ml daily IV or IM.
Child Dose
Renal Dose
Administration
Contra Indications
Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any of its components.
Precautions
The usual precautions for parenteral administration should be observed. Do not inject if precipitation occurs. Inject slowly by the intravenous route. High concentrations should be diluted using Normal Saline Injection when given intravenously.

Side Effects
Side effects of Vitamin B Complex Inj :
Adverse reactions have been reported with specific vitamins and minerals, but generally at levels substantially higher than the usual dose. However, allergic and idiosyncratic reactions are possible at lower levels.
Mild transient diarrhea, polycythemia vera, peripheral vascular thrombosis, itching transitory exanthema, feeling of swelling of entire body, anaphylactic shock.
Mode of Action
Vitamin B: Plays a role in the synthesis and maintenance of coenzyme A. Necessary for lipid metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, tissue respiration, glycogenolysis, inhibition of very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) synthesis. May increaase chylomicron triglyceride removal from plasma. Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin): Required for the maintenance of normal erthropoiesis, nucleprotein and myelin synthesis, cell reproduction and normal growth; intrinsic factor, a glycoprotein secreted by the gastric mucosa, is required for active absorption of Vitamin B12 from the GI tract. Necessary for normal tissue respiration; plays a role in activation of pyridoxine and conversion of tryptophan to niacin.
