Indications

Cita-R Linctus is used for: For relief of non productive (dry) coughs, irritating cough, sore throat

Adult Dose

Oral Adult: 4 teaspoonful (20 ml) 4 times daily

Child Dose

Children : 1 to 5 years= 1 teaspoonful (5 ml) 4 times daily, 6 to 12 years= 2 teaspoonful (10 ml) 4 times daily

Known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients

Precautions

Patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency should not take this medicine.

Pregnancy-Lactation

There are no or limited amount of data from the use of Citric Acid Monohydrate in Pregnant women. There is insufficient information on the excretion of Citric Acid Monohydrate and its metabolites in human milk.

Citric acid is absorbed after oral administration. It is found naturally in the body and is widely distributed. It is metabolised to carbon dioxide and water in Kreb's citric acid cycle.Forms soothing layer over mucous membrane on the throat, relieves inflammation and pain
